Cocoa D1795** ADOPTED **

AGE:  8 years old

GENDER: Female

BREED: Shih Tzu mix

Poor Cocoa was found as stray and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control. She is a special needs dog who has just recently been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease and we of course have no way of knowing how long she has had it. She is being treated daily with medication and will need to stay on this medication for the rest of her life. We are looking for a family who is willing to give this dog a good home for the remainder of her life. If you are someone who wants to make a difference in the life of an older animal please consider adopting Cocoa. She is house trained, sleeps in a crate or a dog bed, extremely laid back, and good with other animals. A perfect low maintenance dog.

If you’re interested in opening your home to this helpless homeless animal, please fill out an adoption application at as soon as possible.  Applications will be considered in the order they are received, and adoption decisions will ensure the best fit for both your family and the pet being considered.

Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person!
